Also known as Green Island Ficus, this stunning bonsai has oval to round dark green shiny leaves and easily forms rosettes at the end of its branches if kept trimmed. Green emerald ficus branch and fruit well and easily develop aerial roots when kept humid. This tree is different than other Ficus varieties in that the leaves are much thicker. This tree has exposed roots growing over a textured rock and down into the soil. An all time favorites, this bonsai tree requires very easy indoor maintenance. Does well in lower, medium or high lighting conditions.
